Ben Brown

Ben started coaching for Pride in 2020. He is from San Diego and played for San Diego Shores for 9 years, for all of which he played on championship division Junior Olympic Teams. At Mater Dei Catholic High School, he holds the career goals, assists, and steals record. He earned Mesa League first team all 4 years of high school and Mesa League Player of the Year x2. Ben is a former player for California Lutheran University where he has earned NCAA All-American 1st team x3 and NCAA All-American 2nd team x1. At CLU he holds the career assists and steals records. He is the only player in SCIAC’s history to be First-Team All- SCIAC x4. Played professionally abroad for the Adelaide Jets, Australia in 2023, and finished 2nd on the team for most goals in the season. Recently hired as the California Lutheran University Men’s and Women’s Assistant Water Polo Coach. Besides accolades in the water polo world Ben has also earned the level of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts of America in 2018 and earned Academic All-American in 2021. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Sports Management. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in Business Administration and is set to graduate May 2024.
